A proven entrepreneur, throughout his career Richard has been involved in the growth, scale and exit of some of Canada’s leading Internet start-ups.
Prior to co-founding mind.me, Richard was a Partner at customer experience agency Sonic Boom. There, he was responsible for research, strategy, client service and overall growth and business direction for the firm, partnering with some of the most progressive brands in the world and helping the company create transformative customer experiences at the intersection of technology and creative.
At Sonic Boom, notably he was instrumental in developing the firm’s unique research and strategic planning methodology (known as Belief Based Consumption) based in digital ethnography, which helped create powerful connections between brands and their audiences. This methodology was at the core of strategic planning process for brands including Ford, Health Canada, Lowe’s and McDonalds to name a few.
Before joining Sonic Boom, Richard was Vice President, Strategic Alliances of Tungle.Me, a cross-platform social calendaring application. There, he led strategic planning and execution of strategy from go-to-market through to acquisition by Blackberry in April, 2011. Previous to that, Richard was Global Vice President, Sales, for iPerceptions, a Montreal-based firm providing proprietary online research solutions where he was part of the management team that led the company to IPO.
